Grandpa Suzi


Norman Clinton Ward
Norman Clinton Ward of Phoenix passed away on June 3, 2008 at Hospice of the Valley, Arbor House in Mesa, He was surrounded by all of his loving family except his dear wife of 62 years, Irene, who preceded him in death on May 1, 2008. Norman was born in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to Fred and Helen Ward on October 27, 1910. Norm's family moved to Detroit, Michigan where he met and married his wife Irene, Norm and Irene moved to Phoenix in 1946.. Norm worked for Western Auto Stores for 25 years. The last 15 years were for Carl Ellis whose family became very dear to him. He also worked for Avis Rent a Car before retiring in 1974. "Grandpa Suzie" enjoyed bowling, birds and sports but most of all he was happiest when his grandchildren would visit. Survivors include his daughter Ann Paul (David). granddaughters Debbie Lombardo (Chris), Kari Krecklow (Randy) great-granddaughters Melissa Lord (Nate), Kristi Harris (Nick), Kayla Krecklow, Taylor Krecklow, great-great-grandchildren Rylee Lord, Brady Lord, Logan Harris,. sisters Rene Malenfant and Marge Danhausen. His brothers, Pat, Art, and Les preceded him in death. We wish to thank Hospice of the Valley and Leland Manor for the wonderful care and kindness shown to our loved ones.
