American Idol

My sister, our friend Tika and I made a last minute girls trip to LA for the past couple days after Tika got tickets to a taping of American Idol. We had a blast! It was so much fun. We waited in line for hours in cold windy weather, but it was so worth it. The studio is small, much smaller than it looks on TV. We were in the pit right in front of the judges. We were on Simons side and were so close that we could reach out our arm and touch him. When they first came out Paula walked around and gave people a hug and shook hands. When Simon sat down Tika asked him if she could have a hug and he said, "sure come on up here." So, she got to go up to the judges table and got a hug and a kiss from him. The show was great, we were right in front of Mariah Carey (not one of my fav's) but it was very cool. She looked amazing! The big guy from Borat was in the audience (you know the naked one) he did have clothes on! So was the figure skater that left his wife and just had a baby with the Buffy the vampire slayer girl (I think her name is Kristy Swanson? She was there too) So was Justin Guarini and Chakezie....
